Autonomous Righting Platform System (ARPS)
ARPS is an Innovative, indigenously developed trolley system for a Funicular or Inclined elevator.
The ARPS platform always remains horizontal irrespective of the angle of the trolley with the horizontal on which the ARPS is fitted.
On a curvaceous track or steep, varying-angle slope, the trolley will vary its angle parallel to the track. The ARPS platform will remain horizontal throughout this movement.
- Funicrest Trolley base has a very strong transverse & longitudinal stability
- Such a trolley base can be safely fitted with passenger platforms with a higher centre of gravity (Conventional trolleys have to be inclined and parallel to the slope to achieve lower C.G)
- An autonomous righting platform system has a higher centre of gravity (C.G)
ARPS can be safety fitted on the funicrest trolley base
Advantages of Funicrest ARPS over Conventional Funiculars
Conventional funicular require fixed-angle tracks, which essentially requires
- Flattening of the undulated slopes ❌
- Very high Column ❌
- Cut and fill undulation ❌
- Heavy foundation and concreting ❌
All the above is avoided by the Funicrest ARPS trolley, which moves over a curvaceous track that can follow varying angles of the slopes. Keeping passenger platforms always horizontal. Which makes Funicrest
- Eco-friendly ✅
- Very cost-effective ✅

Scaling Very Steep Varying Slopes
Very strong transverse & longitudinal stability of Funicrest as well as ARPS, keeping the passenger platform always horizontal. The system can scale very steep and varying-angle slopes safely.
WORLDS STEEPEST
FUNICULAR WITH ARPS IS BEING INSTALLED IN INDIA

- Length 200 meters
- Height 120 meters
- Pax Capacity 18
